Staff - Sales


   Steve Bertram

Steve Bertram has held the position of sales associate at DOE since 1993. He grew up in Stanford and graduated from Stanford High School. Steve participates in various community activities, such as the local radio station’s play-by-play for sports, coaching different youth sports teams and teaching Sunday School classes. Steve and his wife, Anita, live in Danville and have two teenage sons, Joshua and Andrew.

   Fay Brown

Fay Brown has been in sales at DOE’s Liberty location since 1992. Born and raised in Louisville, she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Fay now lives in Liberty with her husband, Donnie, and has a grown son, Craig.

   Brent Delp

Brent Delp is a salesman for the Lebanon and Liberty DOE stores. Born in Liberty, Brent graduated from Casey County High School. Since joining the DOE team in 1995, he has been active in the Creston Baptist Church and the Chambers of Commerce in Adair, Green, Metcalf and Russell Counties. Brent and his wife, Helena, have one son, Zach.

   Tammy Evans

Tammy Evans began her DOE career as a sales associate in 2001. Originally from Somerset, she graduated from Danville High School. Tammy, her husband David, and their children Brandon and Michael live in Danville and attend Gethsemane Baptist Church.

   Bobby Fields

Originally from Campbell County, Bobby Fields has been an account specialist in Somerset since 2007. This Casey County little league football coach, is actively involved in Quinton Baptist Church, is a member of Cowboys for Christ, is an avid hunter and raises and breaks Walking Horses. He and his wife, Sheila, have three children - Ceseli, 17, Deavin, 15 and Landon, 7.

   Tim Grigsby

Tim Grigsby works in the Lebanon location as a salesman. Born in Springfield, Tim graduated from Washington County High School. He has been a dedicated employee since joining DOE in 1981, and with his wife, Ann, has raised their child, Palmer.

   Michelle Hogue

Michelle Hogue is the first smiling face you’ll see at DOE Lebanon. She has worked for DOE most recently as a clerk/secretary. Michelle moved to Danville as a small child from California and graduated from Boyle County High School. She and her son, Creed, live in Perryville and are avid football and basketball fans.

   Brent Pierce

Brent Pierce holds a position in sales at DOE. Originally from Danville, he graduated from Parksville High School. After attending Centre College and Georgetown College, Brent began working for DOE in 1983. He now resides in Danville with his wife, Mary Rose, along with Tyler and Lindsey, his two children.

   Marsha Turpin

Marsha Turpin has worked at DOE in Somerset as the secretary and clerk since 2002. Born and raised in Somerset, she graduated from Pulaski County High School and is a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. She currently lives in Somerset with her daughter, Tasha.

   Greg Wilson

Greg Wilson is a sales representative for the Danville location. A native of Danville, Greg graduated from Boyle County High School and began working for DOE in early 2007. He claims his hobby to be woodworking, although he can also be found coaching little league baseball and basketball in his spare time. Greg, his wife, Karen, and son, Evan attend Calvary Baptist Church and are avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fans.

   Becky Whited

Becky Whited is a multi-tasker at DOE. Her responsibilities include purchasing, sales and merchandising. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she graduated from Trotwood-Madison High School, and in 1973, received her college degree from the University of Kentucky. In addition to being part of the DOE family since 1981, Becky is a deacon at First Christian Church in Danville and has served as president of the Wilderness Trace YMCA Board of Directors. She and her husband, Pat, have one grown child, Kasey.

   Christie Whitis

Handling printing sales for DOE in Danville since September 2006 is Christie Whitis. She was born in Danville but grew up and attended high school in Mercer County. While she enjoyed working at a coat factory and being a waitress and cook at a Harrodsburg restaurant, Christie is happy to be at DOE because of its great reputation and comfortable working environment. She lives in Harrodsburg and attends Shakertown Church with her husband, Chad, and son, Trent. Christie is involved with Chad’s softball games and Trent’s soccer and basketball games.

   Pete Yankey

Harold “Pete” Yankey has been a DOE sales associate since 1995. Born and raised in Perryville, he graduated from Perryville High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville. Pete and his wife, Peggy, have two grown children, Kimberly and Gregory.

   Freddie York

Freddie York has had an interesting life. Born in Danville, Freddie joined the Marines after graduating from Boyle County High School. After duty, he worked in sales at Pepsi-Co for 17 years before having his own remodeling business. He’s known the staff at DOE for a long time, and since August 2006, has been their regional sales representative, covering Berea, Lawrenceburg, Nicholasville and Richmond. He lives in Moreland and has three grown children, twins Andrew and April and an older son, Adam.
   James Young

James “Mike” Young joined the DOE team in 2003 handling sales and delivery for Somerset’s DOE. He was born in Hampton, Virginia, raised in Ohio and came to Somerset in 1982 where he attended Somerset Community College. He resides in Somerset with his wife, Sharon, and four children, Brandon, Christy, Crystal and Stephen.
